- Henna Gaijin Studio
What a year!
Ok, so it's not over yet, but it's hard not to look back on this year and wonder how it got so crazy. So far, Henna Gaijin has been sighted in Singapore and New Zealand (of course!) as well as South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, East Timor and Australia... and it's only November ; )
Of course, the biggest reason for so much travelling has been because of the filming of the Rowing from Home to Home documentary, but there's also been some other cool stuff going on, including writing and directing a series of videos for Microsoft Surface's Pro4 release in Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
So here's a taste of one of those videos I wrote and directed for Microsoft on behalf of Hurrah Productions and Bonsey Jaden – the story of Gun Rata – a Thai model, actor, TV host, entrepreneur and all-round nice guy who epitomises the lifestyle of those who Microsoft are aiming to inspire with their Surface Pro product - "The Anywhere Generation"
And while we're at it – here's one of the others that I wrote and directed – this time in Seoul, South Korea, where we filmed a pair of friends who started a business called "Passion Oil" in order to inspire young Koreans to follow their dreams.
Unfortunately this one's in Korean, but the story is one that I feel really passionate about – that inspiration comes from the world around us that so many of us take for granted. Enjoy!
